Welcome back to Mythology Club

Welcome back to Mythology Club. . .

We should have another great year of learning about the different mythologies from around the world.

Please make sure to bring or share in the comments any interesting mythology related items you find. Help to direct what the club learns and which countries we focus on.

Also make sure that you create an account so that you can follow this blog, respond to posts, and possibly earn the right to post to the page yourself.

Looking forward to some wonderful new myths to learn about and the history that goes with them.

Please comment when you read this posting.

Thank you

What to expect this year during Mythology Club. . .

With  the school year about to start it is time to think about Mythology Club.

Mythology club will meet on Thursday during lunch. Members will bring their lunches back to the classroom so that we can work on all the great activities until the dismissal bell at 1:05.

We will be focusing on 8 different Greek and Roman myths this year. Each will take us about a month to complete all the activities.

The myths we will work with this year are:

Phaeton and the Sun Chariot-September

Pandora's Jar-October

Perseus and the Gorgons-November

Arachne and the Weaving Contest-December

The Race for Atalanta-January

Persephone and the Seasons-February

Bellerophon and Pegasus-March

Echo and Narssus-April

We will be making a book of stories, activities, crafts, and other exciting fun stuff.

Please think about joining Mythology Club for this school year.

Any questions please speak with Ms. Taylor-Stevens
