Club Expectations

Mythology Club

CLUB PURPOSE:    

1.      For any current Nash 4/5th grader who has an interest in learning about mythologies from around the world

2.      As a place where said students can come together to do research and share information

3.      As a social gathering to assist students in interaction with fellow students within the safe confines of the club setting

EXPECTED CLUB MEMBER CONDUCT:

1.      Respect of each other - No derogatory words or actions towards fellow club members

2.      Honesty in all things –Lying will not be tolerated for any reason

3.      NO Bullying-this will not be tolerated for any reason by any member – current or former and could be an action that could lead to suspension from school

4.      Listen with respect-wait your turn to speak-do not interrupt

5.      Use inside voice at all times – there is no need to scream

6.      Be willing to participate in all club activities and events

7.      Be enthusiastic and contribute to the club in a positive way

8.      Rudeness will not be tolerated-this is a form of Bullying

9.      Grades kept at or above C-/70%-Not Eligible for Club activities otherwise

10.   All of the above conduct is expected to be exercised in and out of club (so if you break these rules outside of the club you will get in trouble in the club)

POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES OF BREAKING CLUB RULES

1.      1^st time offense – A meeting with Ms. Taylor-Stevens to review the actions in question and a warning that if there are any additional infractions of the rules, that suspension from the club will be implemented. The length of or the permanence of the suspension depends on the severity of the infraction.

2.      2^nd time offense – Suspension from all club activities for a specific time period to be determined at the time based on the severity of the infraction.

3.      3^rd time offense – permanent expulsion from the club with no exceptions based on the severity of the infraction.
